
In Italy since 1991, Tom has worked in architecture, cultural heritage, environmental and cultural sustainability and digital media. He was founder of the successful non-profit cultural travel association Scala Reale and continues to support culturally and environmentally sustainable travel as a partner in Context, a vibrant group of scholars. From 2002 until 2008 he was President of the American Institute for Roman Culture.

The world needs to invest min. 1% of its GDP to overcome the effects of climatic change and the exhaustion of fossil fuel resources. If not, the world economy will expose itself ot the risk of a recession representing between 5 and 20% of its GDP.
